Biofach, the organic products trade show, taking place February 12-15 in Nurember, Germany, has already opened its gates, with the theme “Organic delivers!”, as well as the new special show “All about water: is the basis of life endangered?”
Foodies from around the world will discover innovations for their product ranges in all product categories, including a growing number from the frozen segment (around 350 exhibitors). At Biofach, frozen products appear in various product categories. According to industry experts, the importance of the frozen food segment in the market is growing very dynamically and the trade show also reflects this trend, with an increasing number of exhibitors showcasing frozen food.
The Biofach Congress, which takes place concurrently with Biofach, brings together some 8,000 delegates in around 150 separate presentations. At the Biofach Congress, the key challenges of the future and the responses and approaches delivered by organic production methods will be discussed by the sector within the framework of the congress theme.
“Biofach is not just a trading platform but also the gathering place for the entire international organic sector. It is a hub that provides both a comprehensive overview and a general road map and is the starting point from where the future of the sector is shaped! The congress theme “Organic delivers!” puts the spotlight on the positive impact of the organic system and the approaches it already offers for many global issues like climate change, bio-diversity and water,” Barbara Böck, from Biofach, told Frozen Food Europe.
Some 3,500 exhibitors from around 100 countries are expected at the annual start-of-year gathering for the sector, and of these more than 70% are from outside Germany.
