Following last month’s announcement that foodservice is now an integral pillar of BRF Europe’s channel strategy, the global food company has taken its first step in implementing this by connecting with European foodservice customers through a dedicated digital portal.
“The idea behind our new BRF Foodservice platform is simple: our clients’ success is our success”, explained Colin Norton, CEO of BRF Europe and Eurasia. “Innovation and collaboration are cornerstones to progress. Through inviting foodservice clients to our online platform, we are helping them to tap into the knowledge we can offer on global food trends, on creating new dishes and a tailor-made experience by downloading items that will assist in the creation of menus and marketing materials”, he added.
BRF Europe has launched its BRF Foodservice online platform which will connect BRF with business owners and distributors across Europe. The platform will act as an accessible and practical channel through which distributors and foodservice businesses can source product information and marketing tools. This launch is one of the first steps in BRF’s new European strategy, in which foodservice plays an increasingly important role.
Positioned as a professional business partner in poultry, BRF FS will leverage the online platform to provide foodservice clients (e.g. restaurant owners) with promotional solutions, product news and exciting new recipe ideas from the BRF chefs. Products from Sadia and Perdix lines will be recommended based on businesses’ profiles. Solutions for restaurants, pubs, pizzerias and hotels will be available via local distributors. In early 2017, BRF will begin to publish market trends and promotional solutions on the platform, offering customers even more added value.
This approach is key to the success of BRF activities in Europe, where wholesalers and distributors make up a highly significant portion of the foodservice market.
