Dirafrost – a firm specialized in frozen fruit for distribution, retail, bakery wholesale and beyond – is coming to Anuga 2019 to unveil a series of new products. The event is scheduled to take place between October 5-7 in Cologne, Germany.
During the tradeshow’s centenary edition, Dirafrost will have on display the new Rote Grütze – its take on Germany’s famous national dessert. It’s a clean label red fruit treat, low in sugar and frozen to lock in freshness and instantly ready to use. It can be paired with vanilla pudding, breakfast yogurt, ice cream, pies or pancakes.
Up next, the company’s brand new Cacao fruit puree will also be on display. Made with 100% cacao fruit, it has no added sugar. Dira’s product is prepared from the white pulp underneath the shell of a cacao fruit pod, the part of the cacao bean that’s been discarded as waste during the production of chocolate-based products. By processing the “wasted part” of the cacao bean, Dirafrost has introduced a unique new taste, useful for many recipes for pastry, ganache, smoothies, cocktails, confectionery, ice cream, sorbets and more.
Furthermore, Dirafrost will be showing the Dira frozen fruit discs, which were created for the bakery and (semi) baking industry in order to increase the efficiency to their tartlet production and offer premium fruit at the same time. Additionally, Dirafrost’s smoothie range, and more specifically the smoothies with probiotics launched at the end of 2018, will also get some attention during Anuga. The beverages not only contain fruit, but also vegetables and add-ins like spirulina, linden extract, bee pollen and Echinacea.
Dirafrost has also revealed that it achieved BIO certification for its IQF mono fruit and soon the same will be true for its BIO fruit mixes.
