Florigo has recently opened its Food Technology Center, comprising the cutting, drying, (vacuum) frying and freezing technology. A lab-scale vacuum fryer, one of Florigo’s world patented technologies, is available in the test centre. Furthermore, the Center is equipped with a basic laboratory, to create reproducible and accurate measurements. The FFTC and lab are run by its newly appointed Food Technologist. The FFTC is not only used for external purposes but also to assists Florigo’s Research & Design department to develop new processing techniques. Besides this it assists Florigo to extensively perform product testing, especially for “uncommon” products for nutritional value, taste, crispiness, oil uptake etc.
