iba Offers Solutions to the World of Baking.

Over 680 companies from outside Germany will be flying the international flag in Munich. Companies from 55 different countries and from all five continents will be taking part, which means iba will represent the entire global baking market.

This international range of brands and technologies ensures that each business is sure to find the right solution, regardless of company size. From 16 to 21 September 2012, guests can see 1,171 exhibitors (accurate as of 19 June 2012) on an area totaling 132,000 square metres. Approximately 80,000 bakers and confectioners from all over the world are expected to attend the trade fair during its six day run. Most of the businesses exhibiting at iba come from Germany. Amongst the top 8 nations that follow are Italy, the Netherlands, France, the USA, Austria, Turkey, Great Britain and China. As host, Germany will be held in high esteem by foreign companies as here, at the heart of Europe, each exhibitor will be able to access a multitude of strong export markets. This is an important draw, especially in light of the unstable situation for some domestic markets, as a large number of companies are becoming increasingly reliant on exports. iba is a good place to start: the fair will be visited by specialists from around 150 countries who are looking to make an investment in machines and technologies that will help them save energy, optimize processes, manufacture high-quality products and boost their turnover over the next three years. Furthermore, iba will once again include several country pavilions featuring international guests. Participants from Brazil, China, Great Britain and the USA have registered to take part in these stands.

Heinen Freezing attends iba
Heinen Freezing will be taking part at iba 2012 – as market leader with its experience of 30 years in the field of proofing, cooling and freezing of bakery products. The exhibit is a spiral system arctic. a 6 with innovative design which is the basic construction for quite a number of applications. Among the company’s product range for the bakery industry, there are:
compact. A compact spiral system, pre-mounted on a frame for cooling and freezing, available as a single drum with one belt width and four tier pitches for smaller capacities.
arctic. An universal and flexible spiral system of preassembled subassemblies for cooling and freezing with various belt widths and tier pitches in addition to numerous layouts and options for medium to large capacities.
acticool. A spiral system for exact, hygienic and gentle active cooling, under clean room conditions, with various belt widths and tier pitches, as well as numerous options for medium and high capacities.
proofline.  A spiral system with precise multi- zone climate for continuous proofing and cooling, with various belt widths and tier pitches, plus numerous options for medium to large capacities.

Combination lines for cooling-freezing or proofing-freezing and individual „turn-key“solutions including conveying technique and access platforms are also available. The bakery industry makes extremely high demands on issues like process safety, reproducibility and process hygiene, in particular with regard to fresh bakery products.
For these special applications, Heinen has thoroughly analyzed the process of active cooling and re-launched it with the most modern technology, combined with a 30 years experience in industrial proofing, cooling and freezing.

Hygiene novelties
Hygienic cabling is an option for improving general hygiene and cleanliness around the plant. Hygienic cabling means that all cables from the consumer are routed out of the insulated housing via the shortest possible route. Outside the housing the cables are routed using the “single cable layering” process. The cables outside of the insulated housing are routed in open special stainless steel grids and mounted with spacers in a manner that easy and optimized cleaning can be achieved. Besides this option there is a possibility to collect the data and to transfer over via a bus system and routed to the control cabinet. This way the overall cable length within the system and the necessary installation technology (grids, individual cable ducts) is reduced. Combined with the fully welded insulated housing, which is placed on the flat floor of the building, as well as a base frame or concrete foundations, we offer the highest possible hygiene standards for food production.

The importance of maintenance
condiMOT® – automated condition monitoring for the entire system.
Production time is valuable. Every minute of usable plant time is important and every minute of downtime due to maintenance or cleaning causes added costs. This applies in particular to plants that are continuously operating in multiple shifts. For this reason Heinen offers for example a system for detecting changes of individual plant components. This way the user is notified of the need to intervene as early as possible, which means that he will have sufficient time for planning and implementing the necessary measures. Therefore this kind of maintenance is different from the cost-intensive variants of preventative maintenance (where expensive components might be replaced too early) and condition-oriented maintenance (where components might become damaged to a degree that prolonged plant downtime is inevitable). Customers benefit from early detection of condition changes, which can point towards a possible failure of parts or components and may require suitable measures in order to return the system to its target state. This results in fewer breakdowns due to the timely detection of immanent damage and thereby the avoidance of system standstill as well as reduced maintenance costs since maintenance work is only called for when necessary.
