Kwayga Appoints Mark O’Shea as Head of Engineering

Kwayga, the leading B2B private label and trending supplier sourcing engine transforming supply chain dynamics for food and beverage supermarket buyers and suppliers, has appointed Mark O’Shea as its new Head of Engineering as the company targets further progress, development and growth in the United Kingdom and beyond.

Mark is set to triple the size of Kwayga’s engineering team, demonstrating its commitment to scaling its capabilities and enhancing the product.

In this role, O’Shea will be responsible for expanding the Design and Engineering Department, overseeing the platform’s development from concept to commissioning, and spearheading continuous enhancements to the sourcing engine. Mark’s appointment supports Kwayga’s continued growth and solidifies its position as a leader in the supply chain industry.

Mark O’Shea brings a wealth of experience in engineering and operations management, with a strong background in devops, development and QA. Mark has demonstrated his expertise in architecting systems using cutting-edge cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. His proficiency extends to building engineering and QA departments from the ground up, showcasing his leadership and mentorship skills in multiple small startups, and fostering innovation across different cultures. One of Mark’s notable achievements includes overseeing the development and deployment of a £3 million pilot TV show and interactive mobile app in collaboration with ITV.

O’Shea’s global experience is extensive, having worked in various regions such as India, Eastern Europe, Holland, the UK and China. His achievements also encompass integrating and deploying the first-ever credit card payment and advertising system on connected TVs.
