Meatless brand Linda McCartney Foods has recently expanded its vegetarian-friendly lineup with the introduction of two new frozen products: Plant-based Fishcakes and Southern Style Chicken.
The products are already available for pick up from Sainsbury’s but will be also coming to Tesco later this year.
According to the official Linda McCartney Foods website, the Fishcakes are made with rehydrated textured soya and wheat protein, lemongrass, and chili, and coated in a crispy lemon and parsley breadcrumb.
Up next, the Southern Style Chicken is also based on rehydrated textured soya and wheat protein and comes with a crispy southern fried coating.
Linda McCartney Foods offers a diverse frozen food range which includes other products such as Vegetarian Turkey & Cranberry Plaits, Lincolnshire Sausages, Pulled Pork, Scampi Bites, Burgers and more.
The meatless brand is also committed to by to entirely plastic-free by 2021. Right now, 96.4% of the products sold under its umbrella are in plastic-free packaging. Where plastic must be used, the company is developing compostable solutions that will start being used in the next two years.
