In 1995 Prima Menü started to produce frozen ready meals in cardboard trays in Bielefeld, with a clear focus on quality and sustainability.
Within five years, the startup developed very well and more capacity was needed, so a new factory in Leopoldshöhe has been build. In this site Prima Menü meanwhile produces 7.000 tons of frozen ready meals for Retailers, Home-Delivery-Services and Foodservice Customers all over Europe.
In 2018 the Convenience specialist wants to push its Snack Food Range with two new innovative products, the concept is called Loaded Fries – That brings Street food to your home.
The idea is simple and delicious: You have a cardboard tray with two compartments, on one side you have microwave fries and on the other you have sauce to dip the fries in or to load on top of the fries.
“Tex Mex Fries” comes up with a hearty Chili con carne topped with cheese, “Chili Cheese Fries” comes up with sliced Jalapenos and paprika in an aromatic cheese sauce.
Both recipes have a weight of 300g and are produced with green power. The packaging is made from FSC certified cardboard material. The products do not contain flavor enhancers, colorings or aroma. The meals can be heated in the microwave in 9 minuts at 600 W.
The first listings and promotions are starting from February 2018. The products will be presented on the PLMA on booth 6101 in the Europe hall.
