Nortera Launches Frozen Vegetable Brand in the US

Nortera, a North American leader in the processing of frozen and canned vegetables, is introducing the brand Arctic Gardens to the American foodservice market.

Arctic Gardens’ single veggies and vegetable blends are a practical and affordable choice because they use a tried-and-true preservation and freezing technology that enables vegetables to maintain their taste, color, and nutritional value.

The Arctic Gardens’ product range is processed in North America to a greater than 80% extent. A variety of pre-washed, pre-cut, and ready-to-cook frozen vegetable items are available from Arctic Gardens. By saving busy chefs and other foodservice personnel considerable time and labor, the aim is to increase the efficiency and dependability of the food preparation process.

“Foodservice professionals continue to struggle with labor and supply chain issues, making frozen vegetables an innovative and inspiring option that also reduces food waste,” said Kelley Martin, vice president of Sales, North America Foodservice. “Getting from the field to the freezer takes approximately four hours, and by quickly locking in the fresh flavors, textures and nutritional values, Arctic Gardens becomes the reliable, go-to solution any time of year.”

Arctic Gardens’ latest launch features seven on-trend and flavorful products: Fusion blend, Romanesco blend, Kalebanzo blend, Riced Cauliflower, Rice Pilaf, Mirepoix, and Roasting Vegetables.

Leading frozen brand Arctic Gardens was introduced for the first time in Canada. Nortera was motivated to broaden the product line for the American foodservice sector by the product’s resounding success in its nation of origin. Nortera collaborates with 800 growers and operates 13 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada. Nortera is achieving its goal of promoting health and wellbeing through plant-based foods, with USD1.15bn in annual sales. Nortera is now present on every table in North America. 13 processing facilities run by the company are located in Canada and the United States and are used to make canned and frozen vegetables. Nortera employs around 3,000 people in North America, produces significant private labels and retail brands, and distributes its own brands, such as Arctic Gardens and Del Monte in Canada and Arctic Gardens in the US.
