Milwaukee-based frozen pizza manufacturer Palermo’s is celebrating 55 years of existence. The brand will mark the occasion throughout 2019 via festivities and other events.

“We are proud to carry the legacy of our founders and are looking forward to showcasing Palermo’s mission to Unite & Serve our 55th anniversary year. 2019 will be a celebration of our history, our culture, and our future – all wrapped up in one exciting year,” said Laurie Fallucca, chief creative officer.

The company is launching the “55 Days of Pizza” campaign until July 27. In a nod to the company’s Italian heritage, members of the company’s Pizza Clubs can enter to win a Vespa Primavera or one of the 12,000 other prizes.

Fans can also expect to see a series of new and innovative products and flavors launch later in 2019. Furthermore, to further mark its anniversary, Palermo’s also plans to donate millions of frozen pizza meals to food banks.

The brand started in Milwaukee as a small ethnic bakery in 1964 featuring authentic Italian Pizza and since then has evolved into a leading name in the frozen pizza industry. Palermo’s offers a wide range of products including crust pizzas, premium private label pizzas, ultra-thin crust options, and hearth-baked crust varieties. The company’s growing family of brands feature Palermo’s Primo Thin, Palermo’s King Cheese, Screamin’ Sicilian and Urban Pie Pizza Co.
