Pecan Deluxe Candy Gets AA Grade from BRC

The recent introduction of a new set of company values consolidating the guiding principles and fundamental beliefs of Pecan Deluxe Candy Europe played a key role in achieving the double-A Grade from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Generally acknowledged as technically one of the toughest assessments to meet, the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety covers a broad spectrum ranging from Quality Management Systems to evidence of continual improvement.

“The auditor commented that we make high quality and safe products in our facility and was impressed that the procedures and training we demonstrated are embedded into our culture.  We’re very proud of our team for achieving a BRC AA Grade,” Graham Kingston, Pecan Deluxe Candy EMEA managing director said. Pecan Deluxe Candy supplies ice cream, dessert, bakery, and snacking sectors with its range of innovative products – a new shape for 2020 was in the form of miniature chocolate turtles – to meet demand, especially in a time of crisis when consumers turn to comfort foods. All Pecan Deluxe products, including traditionally made fudge, molded chocolate shapes, brownie pieces, cookie dough and praline nuts, are made using natural colors and flavorings in strict allergen controlled, BRC AA Grade facilities. Thanks to extremely limited options for eating out during the pandemic, more and more consumers have been seeking to satisfy cravings with moments of indulgence in the food retail aisles, and so demand for ready-made premium foods has rocketed. Pecan Deluxe is responding to that demand by creating inventive, sweet ingredients such as fudges, bakery items and pralines – to name just a few – in a safe and high-quality working environment, reflected by the BRC AA Grade.
