Quorn Introduces Vegan Fish-less Fillet Range

Quorn

Quorn – a UK company specializing in the production of meat-less products – has unveiled a new range of fish fillets.

The announcement comes at a time when nearly two-thirds of UK consumers (57%) believe reducing meat consumption would be beneficial to the environment and the majority of the population (52%) is actively reducing the amount of meat in their diets.

Quorn is offering two alternatives in the form of Battered Fishless Fillets with Salt & Vinegar and Breaded Fishless Fillets with Lemon & Pepper. Both options are low in saturated fat and in line with Quorn’s aim to re-create vegan versions of the popular British family favorite Fish & Chips. The company also sells Vegan Fishless Fingers.

The new products are available frozen and come in 200g packages. The Battered Fishless Fillets contain 8.3g of fat and 202 calories per 100g, while the Breaded option contains only 2.6g of fat and 165 calories per 100g.
