The latest edition of “World of Private Label” organized by the Private Label Manufacturers’ Association (PLMA) welcomed 11,000 buyers and visitors from over 110 countries at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
More than 2,400 exhibitors from 70 countries presented their food and non-food products, in the 12 exhibition halls, including a wide variety of frozen and refrigerated foodstuffs, but also chilled goods, beverages, shelf-stable groceries and non-food items such as cosmetics and DIY items. Alongside individual company stands, almost 60 national and regional pavilions promoted their respective countries and spotlighted their most innovative products.
“A special attraction at this year’s Trade Show was PLMA’s Idea Supermarket, where visitors could see displays of the products which won PLMA’s 2016 Salute to Excellence Awards for innovation in private label. Forty-three retailers from 18 countries won Awards and were recognized at ceremonies during the pre-show seminars held at the event. This year’s Salute to Excellence Awards were expanded to include private label wines for the first time,” according to the organizers.
A detailed review of the PLMA trade show will be featured in the next edition of Frozen Food Europe magazine.
