Casper’s Ice Cream, a prominent multi-brand frozen dessert company established in 1925, has named Russell Stokes as its new Chief Executive Officer.
The company, known for brands like FatBoy Premium Ice Cream and Jolly Llama, aims to leverage Stokes’ extensive experience in consumer packaged goods to enhance its market position and drive growth.
Daniel Penn, Managing Director at MidOcean, the private equity firm holding majority ownership of Casper’s Ice Cream, expressed enthusiasm about Stokes’ appointment. He highlighted Stokes’ proven track record in fostering innovation and growth for well-known brands.
Stokes joins Casper’s from Mars, Inc., where he held roles as Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of KIND Snacks North America. His career also includes executive positions at Whirlpool Corporation and Boston Consulting Group.
Expressing his excitement about joining the nearly century-old brand, Stokes emphasized Casper’s reputation for high-quality frozen treats and his commitment to building on this legacy to create lasting experiences for customers.
A graduate of Imperial College London and Harvard Business School, Stokes also serves on the board of Airbel Impact Lab, part of the International Rescue Committee.
Casper’s Ice Cream, with its 99-year history, produces a variety of frozen desserts. Its portfolio includes FatBoy Premium Ice Cream, known for nostalgic ice cream sandwiches, and Jolly Llama, which offers alternative options for those with dietary restrictions, including dairy-free and gluten-free products.
