Blue Zones Kitchen, a company specializing in longevity-focused meals, has launched its first breakfast product line featuring Steel Cut Oatmeal.
Co-founded by Dan Buettner, a National Geographic Fellow and bestselling author, the brand has gained prominence in the frozen food sector. Its success is attributed to increasing demand for nutritious, ready-to-heat meals inspired by the “blue zones” – areas known for their populations’ health and longevity.
The new Steel Cut Oatmeal line comes in two varieties:
- Blueberry Steel Cut Oatmeal: Combining blueberries, walnuts, cinnamon, oat milk, and a hint of maple syrup.
- Peach Pecan Steel Cut Oatmeal: Featuring peaches, pecans, cinnamon, oat milk, and a touch of maple syrup.
Steel cut oats are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and have a low glycemic index, which helps regulate blood sugar levels. Blue Zones Kitchen’s oatmeal offers a healthier alternative to typical convenient breakfast options, using wholesome ingredients and natural sweeteners instead of refined sugar.
Abby Coleman, COO of Blue Zones Kitchen, explains that the product line is based on extensive research into breakfast habits in blue zones. The company aims to provide a convenient, nutritious option for busy mornings that aligns with the eating patterns of the world’s longest-lived populations.
Blue Zones Kitchen Steel Cut Oatmeal is gluten-free, non-GMO, entirely plant-based, and contains no refined sugars.
