Tippmann Completes Cold Storage Construction

Tippmann Innovation recently completed the construction of a 205,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art cold storage facility for Win Chill Cold Storage. The new warehouse includes over 30,000 pallet positions and 1,100 positions of Tippmann Innovation’s QF+ IN-Rack Freezing system. The facility is equipped with 16 dock doors, and is also rail served.

As demand for cold storage warehousing in Sioux Falls continued to increase during the early stages of construction, Win Chill realized that with their projected client commitments, the warehouse would fill to capacity at the completion of the building. As a result, Win Chill owners began planning with Tippmann Innovation engineers the design of a phase two expansion. The company recently broke ground on phase two which is slated to be completed in December of this year. The second phase will include a 126,000 sq. ft. freezer addition with 9 loading docks and 18,900 pallet positions.

“We are excited for the continued development of this project. The owners of Win Chill have been extremely engaged in the construction of this new facility and they were ready to move forward with expansion when the opportunity was presented.” Rob Adams, Tippmann Innovation partner.
