Urschel Showcases Dairy Processing Innovations Ahead of CheeseExpo 2026

Urschel Laboratories, Inc. is set to present its latest dairy processing technologies at CheeseExpo 2026, as equipment manufacturers respond to growing demand for precision, efficiency, and reliability in cheese production.

The event, scheduled for April 15-16 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, is expected to bring together industry professionals seeking solutions tailored to the operational challenges of dairy processing. Urschel will use the platform to highlight a range of cutting systems designed to improve throughput and product consistency across production lines.

Among the technologies on display is the CCX-D Shredder, engineered for continuous, high-capacity shredding. Featuring a large cutting zone and multiple motor configurations, the system is designed to reduce product build-up while maintaining steady output. Interchangeable cutting heads enable rapid changeovers, while sanitation-focused design elements support compliance with dairy processing standards.

The company will also present the Affinity Integra-D Dicer, developed to handle difficult-to-process dairy products such as high-fat or low-temperature cheeses. Designed as a more compact version of Urschel’s larger dicing systems, the Integra-D integrates into existing production lines and delivers precise, uniform cuts across a range of applications, while maintaining ease of operation and maintenance.

Complementing these systems is the MicroAdjustable SH-14 Shred Head, which increases cutting capacity through an expanded number of cutting stations. The component is designed to enhance production efficiency while remaining lightweight and easy to install, allowing processors to maintain uninterrupted operations during equipment changes.

CheeseExpo, widely regarded as one of the largest dairy processing events globally, provides a platform for technology providers to demonstrate solutions that address the specific demands of the sector, including the handling of high-moisture and high-fat products. Urschel’s portfolio reflects a broader industry focus on optimizing texture, consistency, and yield, as producers look to balance product quality with operational efficiency.

Founded in 1910 and headquartered in Chesterton, Indiana, Urschel has built its position around precision cutting technologies for food processing applications. Its equipment is used across a wide range of categories, from dairy to fruits and vegetables, supporting manufacturers in improving productivity and maintaining consistent product standards in increasingly demanding production environments.
