The international frozen food sector is once again this year using Anuga Frozen Food as a central meeting point. In Halls 4.1 and 4.2, over 540 exhibitors will be presenting the wide spectrum of products and services of the frozen food segment to both the trade and food service sectors.
This is an extraordinary result that underlines the importance of Anuga for the worldwide food business. Anuga takes place in Cologne for the 34th time from October, 7 -11 2017. On October, 9, the award „TIEFKÜHL STAR” will be awarded again by the German Frozen Food Institute (dti) and the trade magazine LEBENSMITTEL PRAXI. The prize acknowledges outstanding frozen food sections in the food retailing sector, which have a trend-setting character and the potential to present frozen food innovatively.
Setting the trend
The frozen food segment is one of the most important trendsetters within the trade and on the out-of-home market. At Anuga, the international industry regularly presents its innovations for both channels. Here among others big groups from the European manufacturing countries such as Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands and Portugal with the frozen foods association ALIF – Associação da Industria Alimentar pelo Frio – are participating here. But also groups from Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and the USA enrich the international spectrum of frozen foods. Last, but not least the German Frozen Foods Institute, dti, once again has its central point of contact at Anuga Frozen Food.
