The packaging and processing industry’s premier event, PACK EXPO International, concluded after a resounding four-day showcase at McCormick Place.
Produced by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, the 2024 edition of the show cemented its status as the largest in its history.
The event drew a total attendance of 77,500, including 48,000 attendees and 29,500 exhibitor personnel. International participation surged 19% compared to the previous year. A record 2,700 exhibitors occupied an expansive 1.32 million net square feet of floor space, making PACK EXPO International 2024 the biggest event held at McCormick Place this year.

The show’s growth trajectory was undeniable, with a 10% increase in exhibit space and a 24% rise in the number of exhibitors compared to the 2022 edition.

Exhibitors continue to showcase top innovations, and attendees are flocking to see the latest solutions to their manufacturing challenges,” said Laura Thompson, vice president of trade shows at PMMI. “It’s not just the size of our show which draws people in – it’s the quality.”
Attendees were able to explore seven specialized pavilions tailored to industry demands, in addition to new show features like Sustainability Central and Emerging Brands Central. Comprehensive resources were also available to help attendees make the most of their time at the event.
