We Store Frozen, the Houston-based cold storage and logistics firm, has secured a USD15m, three-year agreement with retail giants H-E-B and Walmart.
The deal, which encompasses over 7,000 pallet positions dedicated to frozen fruits and vegetables, marks a significant step forward in the company’s ongoing push into the frozen produce space and fortifies its status as a major player in Texas’ cold chain sector.
The agreement signals increasing confidence among top-tier retailers in We Store Frozen’s ability to deliver high-quality, scalable logistics solutions amid rising demand for cold storage capacity.
“Since our roots run deep in Texas, we are excited to expand our relationship with the number one Texas grocery retailer, H-E-B,” said Omri Shafran, CEO of We Store Frozen. “This partnership represents our continued commitment to innovation, service excellence, and supporting the growing needs of leading retailers like H-E-B and Walmart.”
President Dima Menin highlighted the company’s growing operational scope across the state: “We Store Frozen is managing thousands of SKUs and over 200 types of food products. The ability to keep everything in-house, right here in Texas, will provide much more variety and better options for the citizens of Texas.”
Under the terms of the agreement, We Store Frozen will also provide full-service frozen transportation, overseeing the movement of goods from processing facilities to its storage centers. The vertically integrated model is aimed at preserving temperature integrity and ensuring reliable end-to-end logistics for both retail partners.
The announcement comes as We Store Frozen breaks ground on a new USD40m facility in Laredo, Texas, a strategic site near the US–Mexico border. The 180,000-square-foot campus will feature 100,000 square feet of dedicated frozen storage, specifically designed to support large-scale imports of frozen produce and proteins from Mexico and Latin America. The development is part of a broader initiative to position the company as a leading cross-border cold chain provider in North America.
As consumer demand for frozen food continues to grow—particularly imports flowing through Texas border hubs—We Store Frozen’s expanded footprint aims to capture a greater share of that volume. The company is investing heavily in infrastructure and logistics to support national and international growth, even as it strengthens its regional dominance.
With its high-capacity facilities and technology-enabled operations, We Store Frozen serves a broad spectrum of food manufacturers, importers, and major retailers. Currently managing hundreds of thousands of pallet positions across Texas, the company remains focused on precision, scalability, and service reliability as it continues to grow its presence in the highly competitive cold storage market.
