In a strategic move that underscores the continued vitality of the cold storage sector, Agile Cold Storage and Ti Cold are set to break ground on a cutting-edge refrigerated warehouse complex in West Seneca, New York, marking their third collaborative project this year.
The 132,865-square-foot facility, situated near the Canadian border, represents a significant investment in regional logistics infrastructure. Designed with technological precision, the warehouse will feature a flexible temperature management system capable of maintaining environments from 40 degrees to minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sam Tippmann, President of Ti Cold, emphasized the partnership’s momentum. “This project reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting Agile’s growth and advancing cold storage technology,” he said in an interview.
The facility distinguishes itself through several innovative elements, including a single very narrow aisle (VNA) configuration and an environmentally conscious low-charge ammonia refrigeration system. The design will accommodate approximately 20,000 pallet positions, signaling substantial capacity for food and pharmaceutical supply chain management.
This development follows the companies’ recent successful projects in Macon, Georgia, and Pearl River, Louisiana, suggesting a strategic expansion of their regional cold storage network. Construction is slated to begin immediately, with operational readiness expected in 2025.
The project arrives amid growing demand for sophisticated cold chain logistics, driven by increasing e-commerce penetration and complex supply chain requirements across industries.
