The Association for Contract Packagers and Manufacturers (CPA) and The European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) have announced their official collaboration efforts. With shared missions of furthering the awareness and use of the contract packaging and contract manufacturing (CP/CM) industry in their respective regions, this collaboration presents expanded opportunities to the members of each organization on a global scale.
“Both ECPA and CPA have the same objective, we serve the needs of member companies through continuing education, market knowledge and customer relationships,” Marc van den Maagdenberg, board member, ECPA said. “Together we represent a large part of the CP/CM industry worldwide which will result in an even stronger base to support the industry and our members. As a result, brand owners, manufacturers and retailers are able to resource CP/CMs worldwide.” The Contract Packaging Association, is the national, not-for-profit trade organization for the contract packaging industry. CPA was formed in July 1992 for contract packaging firms and those businesses related to them in order to promote the growth and welfare of member firms. Members are comprised of the nation’s leading contract packagers as well as suppliers to the industry, performing all packaging functions. The European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) is the resource for contract packing and contract manufacturing partners in Europe. ECPA and its member companies represent the professional contract packaging industry in Europe, providing a valued resource for brand owners, manufacturers and retailers looking to outsource. ECPA was formed in 2009 and currently has members with co packing facilities all over Europe.
