MIFB 2026 Elevates Malaysia’s Food and Beverage Industry with Unified ‘Made in Malaysia’ Ecosystem

The Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) returns in 2026 with a renewed focus on positioning the nation’s food and beverage industry as a connected domestic ecosystem capable of scaling, supported by robust international participation.

Anchored by the theme “Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave,” MIFB 2026 builds on 25 years of industry experience, offering a trade-first platform that connects homegrown brands with international players and aligns the sector with regional demand. Alongside Malaysia Café Expo (MCE) and MyFoodTech, the event aims to unlock market access, capability development, and export readiness, reinforcing Malaysia’s role as a future-ready ASEAN F&B hub.

Beyond showcasing products, MIFB 2026 convenes local and international SMEs, distributors, brand owners, manufacturers, marketers, innovation partners, and volume buyers, creating a central forum for industry insights, emerging trends, and evolving business models. Strong global participation allows companies to benchmark against international standards, gain practical market intelligence, and strengthen operational capabilities.

A core feature of MIFB 2026 is its curated Buyer Programme, designed to connect organizations actively seeking innovative products, international partnerships, and cross-border sourcing opportunities. The program attracts a broad spectrum of buyers, including retailers, hypermarkets, convenience store operators, distributors, wholesalers, importers, hospitality groups, café operators, foodservice providers, airline caterers, cruise lines, and institutional buyers.

MIFB 2026 integrates MCE and MyFoodTech into a single, comprehensive platform highlighting key growth segments that are shaping the future of F&B. Exhibitors, both Malaysian and international, will showcase innovations across ready-to-eat, ready-to-cook, and ready-to-drink products, halal-certified offerings, fresh, chilled, and frozen seafood, F&B technology and solutions including kitchen automation, and the broader café ecosystem, encompassing equipment, coffee, bakery, patisserie, franchise, and licensing brands.

The fair also emphasizes talent development. The Malaysia National Coffee Championship, organized in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association, will crown four national champions who will represent Malaysia at the World Coffee Championships, offering a premier platform to recognize and elevate local coffee talent on the global stage.

Additional programming includes a Knowledge Hub and Live Theatre featuring expert-led sessions on emerging trends and business solutions, a Halal Certification Workshop outlining regulatory and application processes, and an immersive Chef Table experience designed to connect buyers and creators to explore culinary innovation and business opportunities. MIFB 2026 positions itself not only as a trade platform but as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and international growth within Malaysia’s food and beverage industry.
