Solina, a global food solutions provider, has acquired Advanced Food Systems, Inc. (AFS), strengthening its presence in the US market.
The deal, finalized upon signing, brings AFS’s 40-employee team into Solina USA.
Based in Somerset, New Jersey, AFS specializes in custom dry seasoning solutions for food manufacturers, serving meat, poultry, frozen foods, sauces, and marinade sectors.
“With AFS, Solina has acquired a company with a complementary business, industrial strategy, and operational practices,” said Solina CEO Anthony Francheterre.
The acquisition marks Solina’s third US purchase and first in the northeast, expanding its geographic reach to four sites across California, Illinois, Nevada, and New Jersey.
Michael Marks, Solina USA’s President, highlighted the strategic value, noting AFS’s strengths in product functionality will complement Solina’s flavor expertise. “Together, we will offer a comprehensive range of high-quality, cost-effective functional and flavor solutions that address our customers’ needs more effectively than ever before,” Marks said.
