Source Logistics Acquires LaGrou Distribution’s Warehousing Business

Source Logistics, a provider of warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services, has acquired the warehousing business of LaGrou Distribution in Northeast Illinois, a move that significantly expands its national footprint and introduces refrigerated and frozen storage to its portfolio.

The acquisition adds eight warehouses in the greater Chicago area, increasing Source Logistics’ network to 23 locations nationwide and more than five million square feet of storage space.

While the warehousing business transitions to Source Logistics, LaGrou’s non-warehousing and transportation divisions will remain under their current ownership.

With its expanded capabilities, Source Logistics now has the infrastructure to reach over 75% of the US population within a single day, further solidifying its position as a key logistics partner for global businesses seeking to meet rising demand for consumer goods.

The move strengthens its presence in Chicago, a critical logistics hub for the Midwest, and enhances its ability to provide farm-to-table solutions. LaGrou’s facilities, strategically located near production plants and frozen storage centers, will ensure more efficient delivery of perishable goods to markets across the country.

“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our growth strategy—not just for us, but also for our customers,” said Raul Villarreal, CEO of Source Logistics.

“Chicago is a critical logistics hub for consumer goods and perishables. With our strengthened network reach, customers can confidently rely on us to help expand their product range, modernize their supply chains, and streamline the delivery of goods into their key markets.”
