INTERNORGA stands as the premier global expo catering to hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and confectionery. Serving as the yearly rendezvous for these sectors, it is scheduled to run from March 8 to 12, 2024, at the Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH venue.
Participating both nationally and internationally, exhibitors will showcase their latest products, trends, and innovations tailored for the entire foodservice and hospitality market. Complementing the trade show are international conferences, a diverse supporting agenda, and forward-thinking industry competitions.
Under the banner of ‘All together.’, this premier international trade fair is set to draw in key figures from the catering and hotel sectors, alongside the bakery and confectionery industries, to the vibrant city of Hamburg. Featuring innovations, roundtable discussions, conferences, as well as captivating competitions and special events, this trade fair stands as an essential gathering for the entire industry.
Artificial intelligence (AI) takes center stage with its dedicated platform: the AI CENTER. Here, insights into the potentials and pitfalls of new technologies in the catering and hotel sectors will be shared. Innovative startups will showcase how AI fosters economic and operational efficiency. The Newcomers’ Area at INTERNORGA also boasts several global debuts.
Visitors can explore a diverse array of new products and services, ranging from vegan substitutes to pork, plant-based sauces, fermented pulses, and sustainable spirits crafted from coffee grounds and squeezed orange peel, to intelligent and heat-preserving lunch boxes. The Newcomers’ Area has already set the stage for the beginnings of success stories in recent years. INTERNORGA 2024 guarantees an array of engaging highlights for attendees.
Renowned food trend researcher Karin Tischer from food & more will shed light on developments poised to shape the foodservice and hospitality sectors. In 2024, these include topics such as plant-based, health-oriented diets, and sustainability. Amidst escalating concerns about climate change and animal welfare, the ‘Future of Proteins’ trend, in particular, holds promise for environmentally conscious and ethical culinary offerings that caterers can integrate into their menus.
Finally, a multitude of exhibiting companies extend invitations to complimentary events and gatherings, transforming the entirety of the Hanseatic city into what’s colloquially dubbed ‘INTERNORGA Town,’ acting as a central hub for the industry. Since last year, the trade fair has introduced its own party stage. From 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, exhibitors and visitors will convene at the OFF THE RECORD Afterwork Lounge—a fresh locale for networking, idea exchange, and revelry at INTERNORGA.
“As a Hanseatic city with a cosmopolitan feel, Hamburg has a long tradition of hospitality,” Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress said in a press release. “That is exactly why INTERNORGA, the world’s leading trade fair for the catering and hotel sector, belongs in Hamburg. It has an ambassadorial role to play in these challenging times, demonstrating that bringing the entire industry together is essential and strengthens cohesion. From 8 to 12 March 2024, all visitors will have the opportunity to experience the wonderful atmosphere at our exhibition center in the heart of the city in person. We are looking forward to a vibrant and inspiring event!”
