German dairy company Deutsche Milchkontor (DMK) and Bahlsen – a firm known for its sweet snacks including biscuits – have joined forces to introduce a new winter ice cream dubbed Zimtstern. The move aims to cater to the increasing demand for ice cream in the run-up to Christmas.
With the new flavor, DMK offers a re-interpretation of Bahlsen’s classic cinnamon stars flavor tailored for the cold season. Zimtstern combines bourbon vanilla ice cream with a hint of cinnamon, hazelnut ice cream, and mini cinnamon biscuits. The new product will be available from October in food outlets across Germany in 500 ml containers.
“Our broad portfolio offers every consumer their favorite winter pastries of the highest quality. For this reason, we are one of the most important brands in the run-up to Christmas. From a brand perspective, it is important to constantly offer consumers new product experiences,” says Stefanie Böhm, brand manager for Bahlsen.
Back in the spring of this year, DMK and Bahlsen previously worked together to launch an ice cream range featuring confectionery pieces like the Ohne Gleichen flavor, which combines chocolate-covered waffle pieces with vanilla ice cream and a nougat sauce.
