MingsBings, Dot Foods Enter Partnership

Dot Foods Inc., the most significant foodservice redistributor in the United States, has entered into a partnership with the plant-based frozen food brand MingsBings, which was established by Iron Chef Ming Tsai. Through this partnership, MingsBings is able to expand its foodservice reach on a national scale. As a result, foodservice buyers now have easy and quick access to MingsBings’ full line of ready-to-heat handheld entreé and breakfast pocket products with no minimum order size requirements.

Foodservice buyers are looking for new products to offer their customers as the demand for plant-based and gluten-free menu options continues to rise. Dot Foods stated that plant-based sales have grown 38% year over year, driven by SKU proliferation, innovation, product quality, and increased interest and adoption from flexitarians. Aramark recently committed to increasing their animal-free meal choices to 44% of all offerings across more than 250 educational institutions. [1] Additionally, Dot Foods stated that plant-based sales have grown 38% year over year.
