A new study from the University of Edinburgh found that children are more likely to choose foods they think are natural over those that were grown in a lab. A March 2022 poll showed that Americans have a “trust gap” about where their food comes from and tend to eat more natural foods. These results are in line with that poll.
One Gallup poll found that “Locally Grown” and “Natural” are the two most popular categories of food choices. This shows that most people are willing to pay more for these two options in their cart. And big grocery stores haven’t ignored the trend.
One example is Pangea Natural, which just went public, that makes foods specifically for these kinds of health-conscious consumers. According to CEO Pratap Sandhu, Pangea Natural Foods has teamed with skilled food scientists to create its goods with an emphasis on providing consumers with top quality food products.
