This year’s “World of Private Label” Trade Show in Amsterdam will offer a new Executive Education program, to take place Monday morning, May 18, one day before the Trade Show floor opens.
Held at the Elicium in the RAI Exhibition Centre, classes include private label strategy, consumer trends, new product development, packaging, and manufacturer-retailer relations. Faculty comes from both industry and university.
Later on Monday, the traditional opening seminar program will focus on retailing and private label. Edgar Elzerman, former Vice President of Ahold, will give a presentation that identifies “5 Retailers to Watch in 2015.” Jim Hertel, Managing Director of the Willard Bishop consulting firm in the US will examine the key trends that are having a big impact in America.
There will also be a special seminar presentation to announce the winning retailers and products of PLMA’s Annual International Salute to Excellence program. The Awards give recognition to outstanding food and non-food private label products that have been introduced by supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, drugstores, and specialty stores in the past year.
Admission to the seminars is complimentary to all registered visitors and exhibitors. The seminars will be presented in the Forumzaal at the RAI Exhibition Centre on Monday, 18 May from 14.00 – 16.00. Presentations are translated into English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
