Record Numbers Expected for Refrigera 2025

Refrigera, the international refrigeration trade show organized by A151 srl, is on track to set new records when it opens at BolognaFiere from November 5 to 7, 2025.

Two months ahead of the event, organizers report that the exhibition area has already surpassed 5,000 net square meters, a 12% increase compared with the previous edition. More than 260 exhibitors from 25 countries — including Belgium, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and Turkey — have confirmed their participation.

The show, unique in Italy and a leader in Southern Europe, is positioned as a hub for the entire refrigeration supply chain. Visitors are expected from across the industrial, commercial, and logistics sectors, with a strong turnout of professionals involved in food production and distribution, transportation, and retail. Organizers also anticipate significant participation from technicians, designers, and executives from leading companies across related industries.

A highlight of this year’s edition will be Surgela-Freezing Tech, a dedicated area showcasing technologies and systems for frozen food production, processing, packaging, and storage.

Refrigera will also feature a comprehensive conference program, with roughly 50 sessions led by experts in the field. The opening event, “Sustainability: Refrigeration at the Core,” organized by ZeroSottoZero magazine in collaboration with Refrigera and Assofrigoristi, will feature Marco Nocivelli, Vice President of Confindustria for industrial policies and Made in Italy and CEO of Epta; Mario Tozzi, senior researcher at the CNR and a prominent environmental science communicator; and Maurizio Martina, Deputy Director of FAO Italy and former Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. The session will be moderated by Marco Oldrati, Chief Operating Officer of Assofrigoristi.

The 2025 edition is supported by a wide range of industry associations, including Assofrigoristi, Asercom, Assogastecnici, ATF – Associazione Tecnici del Freddo, Centro Studi Galileo, CNOS-FAP Salesiani Don Bosco, Legambiente – Green Heat & Cold Union, and OITAf. It is also backed by ICE, the Italian Trade & Investment Agency, and the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Running concurrently with Refrigera will be Applitech, a trade fair for appliance components and equipment organized in collaboration with Senaf, as well as Fortronic, an event focused on power electronics organized by Tecno.

“After the great success of the 2023 edition, which featured over 200 national and international exhibitors, 250 brands, and more than 9,000 visitors, the strong participation already confirmed for 2025 reinforces Refrigera’s growth as the benchmark trade show for all industry operators,” said Marco Pinetti, Director of A151 srl.
