GEA Showcases New Thermoforming Packaging Machine

GEA will showcase its latest food packaging technology at Fachpack in Nuremberg, Germany, from September 24-26 (Hall 7A/Stand 563), under the theme “RE:THINK PACKAGING.”

The centerpiece will be the new PowerPak 1000 thermoformer, designed for packaging meat, meat alternatives, poultry, and cheese. This entry-level machine offers advanced features typically found in higher-end models.

The PowerPak 1000 aims to help smaller companies boost their packaging efficiency and output. It offers flexibility in pack sizes, reduced plastic usage, and can produce vacuum, MAP, or skin packs. This versatility allows quick adaptation to changing consumer needs. Interested parties can view and test the machine at GEA’s XLAB in Biedenkopf-Wallau, Germany.

Also featured will be the SmartPacker CX400 vertical pillow bag packaging machine. This high-capacity form-fill-seal model creates four pouch types for various products like frozen and fresh produce or protein foods. It handles bag widths from 55mm to 400mm, producing up to 120 bags per minute. The CX400 boasts quick format changes, sensitive seal detection, and a durable sealing system that can process up to one million bags before needing replacement.

Both machines represent GEA’s commitment to providing efficient, flexible packaging solutions for food manufacturers of various sizes.
