PLMA, a non-profit organization that promotes private labels, has been hosting the PLMA private label international trade show for more than thirty years. In 2019, the event will take place during May 21-22, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
In anticipation of the exhibition, PLMA is hosting a conference on February 27-28 in Hamburg, Germany. The theme is “Romancing the Consumer: How to Increase Private Label Sales”.
On the first day, participants can expect to be greeted by speaker Denise Klug of LZ Retailytics who will share an overview of the German retailing market. The lecture will be followed by a store tour with visits to major retailers in Hamburg.
On the second day of the conference, NBK Retail Founder, Natalie Berg will present an analysis of retail and consumer trends in Europe. Jon Wright, head of retail insight at IGD will also cover the topic of “smart store” and share insights into how supermarkets and discounters are adjusting their stores to the new technology, as well as consumers’ needs. Finally, a presentation about new trends in packaging and design of private label products is also part of the schedule.
