Scotland’s largest wafer cone manufacturers have teamed up with Scotland’s best ice-cream shop to produce pink cones for breast cancer research.
Following an innovative suggestion from Jannettas Gelateria in St Andrews, Glasgow-based Waverley have produced pink wafer cones to sell during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Both Waverley and Jannettas will be fundraising and raising awareness for Breakthrough Breast Cancer through the sale of the cones, with Jannettas selling a ‘pink cone’ containing their home-made strawberry gelato.
Nadia Millar, managing director of The Waverley Bakery said, “We have created this pink cone, which is the first of its kind, as a way of increasing awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month and raising as much money as possible for such a worthy cause. We are delighted to be able to lend our support and hope as many people as possible get behind this great initiative.”
