Amy’s Kitchen, a family-owned producer of organic prepared foods, has been named Organic Company of the Year at the third annual “Organic Night Out” event held during Expo West.
The award was presented by Organic Voices and The Organic Center, organizations that recognize companies and initiatives contributing to the growth of the organic sector and promoting the value of the USDA Organic certification.
The Organic Company of the Year distinction is awarded to the business judged to have made the most significant contribution to advancing interest, awareness, sales and support for certified organic products across the broader organic marketplace, including food, beverages, personal care items and textiles.
Amy’s Kitchen received the recognition in part for expanding the reach of organic foods into more households while helping consumers better understand the standards behind certified organic production. In 2025, the company introduced organic meals to 45 million new households and maintained the leading dollar share within the organic segment across several frozen and shelf-stable categories, including frozen entrées, pizza, burritos and snacks, and ready-to-eat soups.
The award comes as consumer demand for organic products continues to strengthen. The organic sector generated USD 76.6 billion in sales in 2025, representing a 6.8% increase compared with the previous year and roughly twice the growth rate of the overall food marketplace. Consumer trust in the certification also remains strong, with 74% of shoppers identifying the USDA Organic label as the most trusted food certification.
Over the past year, Amy’s Kitchen has also invested in consumer education initiatives aimed at raising awareness of organic food production. Among these efforts was the national “Amy’s Night Off” campaign featuring Amy Sedaris, which introduced organic meal options to new audiences through media coverage, partnerships with content creators and retail activations.
The company has also expanded its community support programs. In 2025, Amy’s donated 500,000 organic meals to organizations assisting communities facing food insecurity.
Today, Amy’s Kitchen uses more than 100 million pounds of organic ingredients each year across a portfolio of 141 products spanning nine categories, reflecting the company’s continued focus on scaling organic food production while maintaining its emphasis on ingredient quality and transparency.
